What happens if you don’t build it?

That’s the first question I ask every new client, because the answer tells me almost everything. I’m Matija, an engineer who became CEO of wezeo at 22. Here’s how that happened.

01 / Code

It started with code.

I joined wezeo in 2020 as a frontend developer. I wrote code, broke things and learned what makes software survive real users. Then I took on the backend, then projects, then whole teams. Four years later, I was running the company.

02 / Foundations

I build from zero.

That’s what I’m good at: the foundation a real business can grow on.

Finax — MVP
€1B+

My team and I built Finax’s MVP from scratch. Today they manage over €1 billion in assets.

iFonduri — Romania
No. 1

Romania had no digital investment platform. I led the build of iFonduri and made fintech feel credible in a market that didn’t trust it yet.

03 / AI & robotics

Then I gave software a body.

I started experimenting with AI brains for robots. Today the first ones patrol a real building, spotting problems faster than any team could. It’s the most exciting thing I’ve built, and it’s taking wezeo from Bratislava to Copenhagen.

04 / Now

Where I am today.

CEO since 2024 wezeo

I lead 45 people across Bratislava and Copenhagen. We build software for clients, our own AI products, and security robots that already patrol real buildings. Backed by Adventures.

CTO since 2025 Dalinora

I design the brain behind Dalinora chat: conversational AI that gives reliable answers and plugs straight into a company’s own systems. The hard part isn’t making AI talk. It’s making it right every time.

Curriculum lead since 2024 Skyro

Skyro opened in Bratislava in September 2024 as the first high school in Europe focused on artificial intelligence. It grew out of OpenLab, the project that has trained hundreds of programmers and designers, including me. Now I shape what the next generation learns, so they can go straight from school into building real products.
